IUMA Celebrates 30th Anniversary as Internet’s First Music Destination

Last month we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the birth of the grandaddy of music on the Internet! Back in 1993, Chime president Jon co-founded the Internet Underground Music Archive (IUMA) alongside Rob Lord and Jeff Patterson. IUMA was the net’s first destination for music online – not only for independent, unsigned bands but for major labels and online music anywhere… a concept way ahead of its time.
