Sound Summit 2025 Recap
Back in September, Sound Summit (@tamsoundsummit) celebrated it’s tenth anniversary of concerts held high atop Mt. Tamalpais – and Chime’s Jon Luini and Kurt Simmons were there to soak up the energy of another fantastic day of music in nature!
Held atop the iconic mountain in Mill Valley, CA with a stage overlooking the San Francisco Bay, it’s the most breathtaking venue around. This year’s lineup featured standout performances from Cake (@thebandcake), Alvvays (@alvvaysband), Real Estate (@RealEstateBand), Taj Mahal (@TajMahalBlues), The Family Stone Band (@TheFamilyStoneBand), and Wolf Jett (@WolfJettmusic) — offering a sonic stew that was sure to sate every music fan.
Produced by Roots & Branches Conservancy as an annual celebration of Mount Tamalpais State Park, Sound Summit has raised over $250,000 to date, funding vital projects on the mountain — from trail and bridge restorations to fire prevention, water conservation, emergency equipment, and visitor services. Full disclosure: Jon is a Roots & Branches board member, and also associated producer of this year’s festival.
