Thomas Dolby – The Speed of Sound Live Streaming Event
A live streaming event featuring an evening of stories & music celebrating the release of Thomas’s new book “The Speed of Sound”. It was a joy when Thomas called us to ask if we were “still doing webcasting” to help out with this very special launch of his brand new book. We last worked together on his return to the musical stage on “The Sole Inhabitant” and this time around it was both a bit of live music looping, but also reading of selections from his memoir, and a live Q&A with Kari Byron (Mythbusters).
For this event, we created a hybrid stream where the first hour was streamed live on Facebook combined with a high def PPV stream of the entire evening which included additional performance and Q&A (including video questions from remote fans). We also helped run a special giveaway contest where fans won the digital copy of the book, read by Thomas himself.
