George Winston (1949 – 2023)
We are still reeling with the sad news of the recent passing of our client George Winston on Sunday, June 4th after a ten year battle with cancer. George sold over 15 million albums throughout the course of his illustrious career that pushed boundaries in the world of solo piano music.
With 16 records to his name, he created beautiful original pieces inspired by his favorite places and the changing of the seasons as well as celebrated everything from the music of Peanuts composer Vince Guaraldi to classic rock icons The Doors. Above all, he was a road warrior whose greatest passion was performing live for fans. Even while going through treatment, George toured extensively all while raising funds to fight the national hunger crises by donating proceeds from each of his shows to local food banks.
