'30 For Thirty: Celebrating 3 Decades of 'Kiko'
Album Anniversary Activation
Last month, Los Lobos' iconic record, 'Kiko' turned 30, and we knew we had to do something special to celebrate!
To commemorate an album so esteemed by fans and critics alike, we came up with a month-long celebration: 30 For Thirty: Celebrating Three Decades of ‘Kiko.’ Each day, we shared archival video content about the album, original reviews and press pieces, fan content, live performances and more! We focused on each individual track, breaking down the vivid themes throughout the record and describing the stories behind the lyrics.
It was important for us to not only showcase the brilliant talents of the band, but also invite everyone who worked on the record, as well as all of those impacted by Los Lobos’ music to join in on the incredible milestone. We had both Tchad Blake (engineer) and John Paterno (assistant engineer) join in on the fun, sharing their memories about the album. Both the crew behind the scene and the fans are just as important to this journey as the band is!
